🌙 Luminara Hollow  Rulebook

​1. Introduction & Purpose

Luminara Hollow is more than a Discord server; it is a community, a sanctuary, and a living story world.
This rulebook serves as a professional operations manual, ensuring that all members can interact safely, creatively, and respectfully.

The purpose of this document is to:

  • Establish clear expectations for all members

  • Provide transparent protocols for staff and moderators

  • Maintain cohesion within our lore and roleplay structure

  • Protect every member’s safety, creativity, and enjoyment

Example:
A new member joins to roleplay a dragon character. By following this manual, they immediately understand where to post, how to interact in-character, and how to escalate issues if a conflict arises.

2. Community Mission Statement

Luminara Hollow exists to:

  1. Foster a safe and inclusive environment

  2. Encourage creative expression through lore, roleplay, art, and discussion

  3. Maintain order and clarity in all server operations

  4. Promote community engagement through events, storytelling, and collaboration

Guiding Principle:

3. Code of Conduct

3.1 Respect
  • Treat all members with dignity, regardless of skill level or experience.

  • Avoid derogatory language, microaggressions, harassment, or belittling sarcasm.

3.2 Integrity
  • Be truthful in all interactions.

  • Do not impersonate staff or other members.

  • Disclose any conflicts of interest affecting storylines or events.

3.3 Participation
  • Engage respectfully in discussions and roleplay.

  • Do not spam, troll, or intentionally derail conversations or channels.

3.4 Accountability
  • Acknowledge mistakes when they occur.

  • Accept staff decisions without hostility.

  • Rule concerns must be handled through official channels (see Section 11).

7. Content Rules

7.1 Media Sharing
  • Absolutely no NSFW, gore, shock content, or illegal material.

  • Images must follow roleplay-safe standards and must not disturb or harm members.

7.2 External Links
  • Only approved and safe links may be shared.

  • Suspicious links will be deleted, and the member may receive a warning.

7.3 Roleplay Content
  • RP channels are strictly in-character only.

  • No god-modding: you may not control another member’s character.

  • No meta-gaming: information your character doesn’t learn in-character cannot be used in roleplay.

8. Behavior & Etiquette

8.1 Respect Personal Space
  • Do not spam, pressure, or guilt-trip other members.

  • Roleplay requires mutual consent—no forced interactions.

8.2 Anti-Harassment
  • Bullying, stalking, discrimination, or targeted hostility is forbidden.

  • Violations lead to strike escalation (see Section 16).

8.3 Collaboration & Creativity
  • Encourage teamwork in storytelling.

  • All critique must remain constructive, respectful, and voluntary.

9. Conflict Resolution

9.1 Reporting
  • Use #report-issues and include evidence (screenshots, dates, usernames, context).

9.2 Mediated Discussion
  • Moderators may host private mediation sessions.

  • Outcomes may include warnings, strikes, or temporary bans.

9.3 Staff Intervention
  • Staff decisions are final.

  • Appeals may only be submitted through admin-approved channels.

10. Moderation & Enforcement

10.1 Warning Levels

11. Reporting Protocols

11.1 How to Report

Include:

  • Username

  • Type of violation

  • Screenshots or evidence

  • Date and channel

11.2 Follow-Up
  • A moderator reviews reports within 24–48 hours.

  • Reporters may remain anonymous upon request.

11.3 Abuse of Reporting
  • False reports or weaponized reporting will result in warnings or strikes.

12. Event Guidelines

12.1 Sign-Up Process
  • Use the designated event channels to register.

  • Late sign-ups may be denied to ensure fairness and structure.

12.2 Behavior During Events
  • Respect all event rules and follow staff instructions.

  • Cheating or disruptive behavior results in removal or strike.

12.3 Lore & RP Compliance
  • Events follow established Luminara Hollow lore.

  • Any deviation must be staff-approved beforehand.

13. Privacy & Security

13.1 Personal Data
  • Do not share real-life personal information in the server or RP.

13.2 Account Security
  • Use strong passwords and enable 2FA.

  • Report compromised accounts or suspicious activity immediately.

14. Special Permissions & Exceptions

14.1 Staff Privileges
  • Staff may override certain rules for enforcement and community safety.

14.2 Temporary Exceptions
  • Temporary exceptions may be granted for events, lore scenarios, or emergencies.

15. Lore Integration & Roleplay Policies

15.1 Character Creation
  • Follow species, age, hierarchy, and lineage rules.

  • All character sheets must be submitted and approved.

15.2 Roleplay Etiquette
  • No god-modding, auto-hitting, or controlling another character.

  • Stay in character within RP channels at all times.

15.3 World-Building Rules

  • Major plot changes require approval from Roleplay Masters.

  • All creative additions must align with Luminara Hollow canon.

Additional details (art, lineage, personality, weaknesses) may be added if desired.

Standard disciplinary escalation:

Violation → Warning → Temporary Mute → Temporary Ban → Permanent Ban

By remaining a member of Luminara Hollow, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • You will abide by all rules listed in this document.

  • Repeated or severe violations may result in permanent removal.

  • Staff may update rules at any time; changes will be announced.
